From mid-November to mid-December, really good peanut butter company & much-loved client, Pic’s Peanut Butter joined forces with Concrete Jungle to create a decadent peanut butter pop-up menu. The team at the Kensington Street café & restaurant designed four menu items heroing the popular peanut butter made by Pic’s.
With a shared passion for health & an appreciation for delicious food, Pic’s & Concrete Jungle blended wellness with indulgence & crafted a menu catering for peanut butter fanatics including:
- Ricotta Hotcake
- Blue Majik Smoothie Bowl
- Dalgona Ice Coffee
- Pic Me Peanut Butter Cocktail
To those who never thought they’d hear the words peanut butter & cocktail in the same sentence, it’s a beverage you simply must experience for yourself. This first-of-its-kind cocktail blending banana & peanut butter with vodka & cacao liqueur has the texture of a pina colada with the richness in flavour of an espresso martini.
"At Peanut Butter World in sunny Nelson, NZ, we dedicate our days to utterly delicious things that are all about our peanut butter & providing eaters of Pic's access to these treats through a visit to PB World, or our recipe collaborations. We are doubly excited to bring this to life in Sydney, by teaming up with Concrete Jungle & the stunning menu they have created, to show Pic’s is more than a spread. I certainly know I’d have one of everything,” says Pic’s Global Marketing Manager, Nikki Neate.
Head chef at Concrete Jungle, Bryan O’Callaghan shares the inspiration behind the Pic’s menu saying, “The Concrete Jungle crew are big fans of ‘Hotcake Sunday’, which is why we created the Pic’s hotcake with a PB & J Sundae topping. The peanut butter granola was a touch of nostalgia, reminding me of my dad’s favourite snack called a betta bar. Think slightly sweet & nutty puffed rice clusters”.
In honour of this pop up menu, we hosted a beautiful Christmas, or Picsmas, if you will, breakfast surrounded by our favourite people. With Dalgona coffees on arrival, individual smoothie bowls & pancakes to share, we were absolutely spoilt from start to finish. Guests left with a jar of Pic's Peanut Butter to continue the peanut butter themed festivities at home!
