Straight Up PR Offers Support to Mental Health Campaign

Together with Lifeline Northern Beaches & Making Meditation Mainstream launching ‘Lifeline’s Breathing Room’


Health and lifestyle communications agency, Straight Up PR have partnered with Lifeline Northern Beaches and Making Meditation Mainstream to offer their support pro bono and bring to life the Lifeline Breathing Room – an initiative raising awareness for mental health and providing those suffering stress and anxiety a safe, meditation space to create calm. Coinciding with World Meditation Day on the 31st May 2020, Straight Up PR is supporting the cause by rolling out a campaign with a number of communication tactics including traditional Media relations, Influencer activity as well as brand partnerships and local business collaborations.




COVID-19 has led to the rise of stress, anxiety and unease around the world, and Australian communities are looking to Lifeline for help. Across the country, calls have increased 25% with 3,000 calls a day made to Lifeline, equating to one call every 30 seconds.

David Thomas, CEO of Lifeline Northern Beaches saw an authentic fit with Straight Up PR, and said, “Lifeline Northern Beaches Is happy to be working with Straight Up PR for the launch of The Lifeline Breathing Room. Hosted by over 50 meditation leaders for a 24-hour period beginning at 6:30am AEST on Sunday, 31stMay 2020, Lifeline’s Breathing Room is an online guided breath meditation space that is accessible and available globally. With a new session beginning every 30 minutes (on the half hour), the Lifeline Breathing Room will be livestreamed via Facebook and LinkedIn and is free of charge.
