Karma Bites Popped Lotus Seeds Revolutionising the Healthy Snack Space

Eat good, feel good, do good.

Launching this week in Woolworths supermarkets nationally, Karma Bites is spreading the good vibes with their new, delicious, healthy snack made from popped lotus seeds.

A much-loved food eaten by generations of families in Eastern cultures, Karma Bites have harnessed the nutritional power of lotus seeds and are fuelling snack hungry Australians with its unique, tasty offering.

Known for their high protein, low fat and rich mineral content, and at only 100 calories per 25g bag, Karma Bites are delicious, nutritious and are the perfect snack you can feel good about. Ticking all the boxes of the conscious contemporary consumer, Karma Bites are gluten free, vegan, refined sugar free and free from artificial ingredients.

Having always enjoyed an active and healthy lifestyle, the founder of Karma Bites, Ashwin Ahuja struggled to find snacks that were nutritious and tasty. Taking inspiration from his own family, Ashwin realised that the healthy snack he was looking for was right in front of him in the form of the lotus seed – something his family had been snacking on for years. Launching into the UK, then 20 other countries around the world, Ashwin and his business partner David Burns, Founder and Managing Director of the DJB Food Group brought Karma Bites to Australia 12 months ago and are thrilled to see the uptake by Woolworths.

“After stumbling across Karma Bites at the Anuga Food Show in Germany in October 2019, I noticed a gap in the Australian market for a unique, funky snack brand and knew it would pop off shelves. We’re thrilled to have Woolworths on board as a stockist of Karma Bites, sharing the good Karma to their customers and celebrating a new healthy way to snack,” says David Burns.

Available in three delicious flavours – Himalayan Salt, Peri Peri and Caramel, you can now release your inner goodness and grab a pack of Karma Bites from Woolworths stores across Australia in the health food aisle for $2.95 or find out more at www.karmabites.com.au.
