To celebrate the launch of Whittaker's Caramelised White Chocolate Blondie in Australia, we teamed up iconic swim brand, Budgy Smuggler, to give Bondi the inside scoop.
Picture this – It’s Saturday, the sun is shining & Bondi is buzzing... & there’s endless amounts of chocolate (& gelato) to be enjoyed by all. To say this was the perfect day to celebrate the launch of Whittaker’s Blondie is an understatement.
For those who haven't had the chance to try it, Whittaker's Blondie is an artisan caramelised white chocolate that offers a natural blend of tasty caramel & milk flavours complete with a smooth, buttery finish.
When taste is the key driver for purchase - sampling activations can be a powerful PR tactic. Here, we dive into the details of this Whittaker's x Budgy Smugger Activation.
Set up outside of Budgy Smuggler's iconic flagship store on Campbell Parade, Whittaker's won over Bondi by offering locals the opportunity to try their newest flavour.
Sampling staff who handed out blondie chocolate were decked out in exclusive swimwear designs which were created as part of the playful collaboration between Whittaker’s x Budgy Smuggler.
Head-turning ‘fits included Budgy Smugglers (obviously), one-piece swimsuits & bucket hats which featured Whittaker’s signature gold logo & branding.
By-passers got to enjoy free gelato from a Gelato Cart as people helped themselves to delicious blocks of Blondie – talk about a match made in heaven!
Add in a giant sustainable balloon installation, ceiling-to-floor branded decals & some seriously good tunes – & you’ve got an activation that was impossible to miss.
To capture the activation, we engaged a local videographer - consumers were happy to share their thoughts on camera & be filmed enjoying Whittaker’s Blondie.
Whittaker’s Blondie joins the likes of successors including Creamy Milk, Coconut Slab & Dark Salted Caramel, which Australians already know & love.
